▶️ Eager for 2023 Goyang MICE Sustainability Certification (ISO20121)✨✨ - Goyang CVB, Sono Calm Goyang challenges for “MICE Sustainability Certification (ISO20121)”!! |
Recently, Goyang Convention Visitors Bureau and Sono Calm Goyang have challenged themselves to get reviewed for the sustainability certification ISO20121(event sustainability management system). MICE events not only uses a large amount of resources and energy but also produces many wastes, and when the event is being planned and operated, various problems between cooperative firms and supply company occurs as well. 🧐 ISO20121 is a certification system invented by the ISO/PC 250 committee in July 2021 to prepare and minimize economic, social, and environmental problems that can occur in the MICE industry.📄🤩 Through certification review, the Visitors Bureau and Sono Clam will be able to systematize sustainable management strategies as well as practical strategies. By receiving consultation from professional consulting agencies, they will also be able to establish a sustainable operating system and improvement plans for sustainable Goyang MICE events. Through these activities, these two institutions will create a virtuous cycle within the Goyang MICE industry ecosystem and this will also help in strengthening in attracting MICE events in Goyang City.✌️😘 These two institutions will try their best this year to put their name on the certification queue. 🙋♀️ :“What type of an event is a ‘workshop’ in MICE?” (Student A from Ilsan International Convention High School) 👨💼 : “A workshop refers to a long-term meeting where people who are connected with the same objective come together and derive opinions through collective intelligence. For example, having a divisional discussion all day long in the company conducts another meeting to make a final decision when they are reporting to their superior. Under the theme of‘MICE intellectual challenge’, Sang Yeol Lee, the secretary-general of Goyang Convention Bureau, planned to link keywords in the MICE industry that closely relates to our daily lives to make it easier for industry officials and the general public can have a better understanding of MICE industry.🔎 💬 The video will have 14 episodes(7 episodes in both English and Korean, and each video will be around 15 minutes).😤💕 Starting from the end of June, one to two videos will be uploaded monthly and the biggest difference in the video is that it will not only deliver information but it will also have many fun aspects to it. Last year, the bureau created seven videos that promote the overall MICE industry and that video had a record of having 76,000 views. This proves that they were successfully able to promote the brand of‘Goyang City, the city of MICE’. Did you know that youcan receive help from a MICE professional if you conduct MICE events at Goyang?🤭💭 We have about 100 MICE professionals who can be placed in any type of MICE event. These professionals are youth and middle-aged people who have taken a MICE professional education program that has been provided by the bureau and are authorized professionals who are living in, or near Goyang. Some companies are often unable to participate in sustainable MICE since they do not know how to start or how to execute sustainable MICE. If there was any type of manual for this, companies can build strategies from it. But did you know that Goyang Convention Visitors Bureau has completed the‘manual for holding sustainable MICE events from Goyang City’after years of research that reflects the needs of the industry??😎📖✨ Goyang Convention Visitors Bureau has been pro-actively preparing for sustainable MICE before the pandemic.
