The Goyang Destination Week 2025 (GDW2025) came to a successful close on August 23. From August 20โ23, the Sono Calm Goyang Hotel was buzzing with over 860 participantsโincluding 165 international delegatesโfrom 38 countries, ranging from MICE experts and industry professionals to students.
Starting with the Asia-Pacific Youth MICE Idea Contest โAsia Pacific Business Events Youth Challangeโ, the packed program continued with the โณICCA EvolvDestination Forum Asia Pacific โณInternational Destination Competitiveness Forum (IDCF) โณand post-tours.
In line with its themeโNavigating the Growth of the MICE Industry: Technology, Personalization, Sustainability & ROIโGDW2025 focused entirely on the growth and development of the global MICE sector. Particularly, the hybrid live-streamed IDCF received enthusiastic responses by offering multi-dimensional insights into the industryโs future.
International speakers joined both onsite and online, sharing strategies for MICE growth. Keynote speaker David Blansfield, Executive VP of NorthStar Travel Group, stressed that โparticipant experience design is the key to MICE innovationโ, adding that โhuman-centered experiences ultimately determine success or failure.โ
