2025 Goyang MICE Linked Startup League
The 2025 Goyang MICE Linked Startup League IR Pitching Workshop was held on August 13โ14 at Sono Calm Goyang Hotel.
IR (Investor Relations) is all about effectively conveying a companyโs financials, business plans, and vision to investors. For MICE-related startups, this workshop was both a challenge and an opportunity.
Eighteen startups that had completed four weeks of training (eight sessions) and one mentoring round in July competed in this two-day event for a spot in the finals. Only ten would advance, making it an intense survival-style competition.
On the first day, Jiyeon Lee, CEO of Queenโs Speech, led a session on โIR Pitching Skills,โ followed by mock IR presentations, feedback, pitch deck workshops, and networking with previous startup cohorts.
On day two, each team was given just 10 minutes (5 for presentation, 5 for Q&A) to showcase their honed skills. With only 10 out of 18 advancing, the stakes were highโbut all participants impressed with confident pitches.
One founder reflected afterward:
โI used to think I was good at public speaking, but actual IR or government project presentations often felt lacking. Through this programโs mentoring and workshops, I finally understood why. Iโll continue to improve and come back stronger.โ

๐ At the Demo Day (Sep 5, Fri, Goyang Nadeullaon), five winning teams will each receive a share of KRW 30 million in prize money, incubation center support, business linkage opportunities, and more.
