Korea MICE Expo (KME 2025), November 3–5 at COEX, Seoul

2025 Korea MICE Expo (KME 2025) Goyang Promotion Hall.
This November, the nation’s premier MICE industry exhibition, the 2025 Korea MICE Expo (KME 2025), will be held at COEX in Seoul. A special feature of this year’s event will be the creation of the “Goyang Promotion Hall,” a space designed to showcase the charm and potential of Goyang City at a glance. Far more than a conventional exhibition booth, the Promotion Hall will integrate sustainability, enjoyment, and urban brand values into a single experience.
As the host city of Korea’s largest convention center, KINTEX, Goyang has firmly established itself as a hub of the national MICE industry. The purpose of this Promotion Hall is to widely communicate that status at home and abroad, while strengthening the brand identity of “Sustainable MICE Capital City of Korea, Goyang.” In line with this goal, the booth will be built with eco-friendly materials and practices, embracing zero-waste and carbon-reduction principles. From the moment participants enter, they will naturally encounter the values of sustainability that Goyang pursues.
The theme of the Goyang Promotion Hall is “Play Goyang!” Inspired by the city’s growing reputation as a cultural hub of K-culture—fueled by concerts and performances that highlight Goyang as a “city where you can play”—the hall will reflect this dynamic spirit. Spanning approximately 72㎡ with 8 independent booths, the Promotion Hall will feature participation from six organizations and companies: Goyang Convention & Visitors Bureau, KINTEX, K-tree Hotel, Hangout, Yuquhan Jonghyeokssi, and the Korea MICE Tourism Research Institute. From November 3 to 5, business consultations, buyer meetings, and various events will take place. In particular, members of the Goyang MICE Alliance and resident companies of the MICE Incubation Center will have opportunities for 1:1 consultations with buyers, creating prospects for tangible business outcomes.
The design and operation of the booth will be filled with Goyang’s identity. An LED triple-sided tower—the tallest installation within the COEX exhibition hall—will serve as a striking photo zone. A “Play Goyang” signboard crafted from recycled “Earth:nel” (melted waste plastic) will be installed alongside it and, after the event, repurposed for use at the KINTEX information desks in Exhibition Halls 1 and 2. The booth floor will be styled with black art tiles reminiscent of a performance stage, and all printed materials will use eco-friendly Tyvek. Every detail is intended to embody sustainability in practice.
Throughout the exhibition, the Goyang Promotion Hall will host lively activities. Participants who upload photos taken at the photo zone to social media can sample Baedari Makgeolli, a local specialty of Goyang. A pedal-powered generator bicycle will run a popcorn machine, offering a hands-on eco-friendly experience coupled with fun. All consultation tables, chairs, information desks, and event bars will be made from recycled plastic materials, ensuring the Promotion Hall itself conveys the powerful message of sustainability.
During the event, visitors can also enjoy continuous photo zone activities, local product tastings, and sustainability campaigns. On the evening of November 3, a networking dinner will be held for companies participating in joint marketing. These programs will not only highlight the present and future of Goyang’s MICE industry but also deliver memorable and meaningful experiences to all participants.
This Promotion Hall project goes beyond simple booth operation; it will allow visitors to directly experience why Goyang is called the “MICE Capital of Korea.” Domestic and international MICE professionals will be able to witness the city’s infrastructure, support systems, and the appeal of its International Conference Complex firsthand, laying the foundation for attracting future international events to Goyang. Even after the expo ends, booth materials and installations will be reused, continuing to uphold the value of sustainability. Truly, the Goyang Promotion Hall is not to be missed.
